As part of our policy to always improve our facilities we are currently extending our 15th hole and making a feature par 5.  At present a testing par 4 with a green that is tricky to negotiate with a long second shot – we have taken the decision to make a major investment and build a new green in spare ground 80 yards behind the current green.  Not wanting to make the hole too easy for all the long hitters we are also introducing a new pond in front of the green to catch any stray shots.  This picture shows the owner, Trevor Woolley, surveying the work so far.  Once completed the 15th will be one of the feature holes on the course.

The work will be finished in the coming month with the new green opening for play in April 2016 allowing the new green ample time to settle and establish.  In the meantime the hole will play as before, the work not causing any disruption to play.

Next time you are golfing with us take a moment to admire the work and look forward to playing the new green next year!
